In the video SCTV – Tex and Edna Boil’s Prairie Warehouse and Curio Emporium – Dave Thomas, Andrea Martin, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a segment which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as an idea to both please and laugh about dumb Canadian content demands, the siblings transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The two later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
