In the video SCTV The Brooke Shields Show, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was shown on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it streamed by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s character is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and makes jokes about silly Canadian content laws, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Can we talk about how hot and gorgeous Catherine O’Hara was.
It's shocking how unfunny comedy used to be. It reminds me of when the jocks at your high school had to do a funny skit on behalf of the team.

Even though it’s a comedy sketch from a famous Canadian show, it’s loosely based on Brooke Shields’ messy childhood.
Thank goodness, she liberated herself from her godawful smother of a mother!
Many a night laughing so hard we were crying, and asking "what the hell am I watching?"
What would have been really good, was if the actual people being parodied, were filmed watching these bits, so they could give their reactions.

That sketch was so great. Catherine O'Hara was so spot on as Brooke Shields. And Rick Moranis was hilarious as Brooke's mother, while Joe Flaherty was as funny as Kirk Douglas. Although this wasn't one of his better moments, John Candy did a good job playing House Speaker Tip O'Neill.

Thanks, now we can all avoid seeing the Brooke Shields' documentary "Pretty Baby"! This clip perfectly captures the vapid "phenomenon" that was Brooke back in the day.

This is low. Did these people even know Brooke Shields? It's not even good lampooning, because it does not play on how she actually was. It's just insulting.

Of course, and I think that everyone would agree, Brooke Shields is as Beautiful as she is Interesting and Talented. I used to never miss her show. But, through the years, and religiously studying the TV Guide, I can't seem to find it. I think that it was a big mistake for her to have become Romantically Involved with Michael Jackson. Especially after Michaels emotional breakup with Joey Heatherton. Anyway, it's a shame that Brooke's TV Show fizzled (like her looks) and was cancelled. I think Brooke could have been a really big Star if she had only taken Linda Blair's advice and had Breast Augmentation Surgery. She could have really been something. You know. She did a Masterful Job singing Whip It @2:10. Stunning ! Devo said that it was the best version of the song that they have ever seen.
