The Canadian Anthem, as played by SCTV at the end of their broadcast day. Only the audio is from SCTV – that is all I have from the original broadcast, the video is something else I added to go with the audio. On the DVD set, the songs in the Canadian anthem are all replaced by other audio and this version is not on the DVD.
The songs in the anthem that I can identify are:
Choir – “Oh, Canada”
Doug McKenzie – Loon Call (Great White North theme)
Choir – “Oh, Canada”
Anne Murray – “Snowbird”
Stompin’ Tom Connors – “The Snowmobile Song”
Neil Young – “Old Man”
??? – “Won’t you take me into Winnipeg Town”
Gordon Lightfoot – “Sundown”
??? – “What do you find in Alberta Today”
??? – “The Maple Leaf Forever”
Gilles Vigneault – “Mon Pays”
Joni Mitchell -“Raised on Robbery”
??? stumped me!
BTO – “Takin’ Care of Business”
Choir – “Oh, Canada”

Alan Mills is the singer on "The Maple Leaf Forever". I think the Winnipeg & Alberta songs were from ad jingles, but I could be wrong
How they left out the Guess Who & Rush, I'll never know
That's not an authentic Canadian national anthem... it doesn't have Neil Young!
This version is missing the clip from "The End" by the Beatles! An instrumental snippet that comes right before... the end...
the Canada we all remember but is now long gone unfortunately
Takes me back to the heady days of Team Canada, September, 1972.
Poor Canada. No one cares. Lol just kidding. Beautiful scenery, awesome fishing, great snowmobile trails.
What is the one song about Alberta “what can you find in Alberta today” I’m just dying to know
I listen to this every Canada Day.
