Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV | The Wrong Side of the Bed with Bill Needle

In the video SCTV | The Wrong Side of the Bed with Bill Needle, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on second city television for the show’s third season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as an idea to both fulfill and mock dumb Canadian content demands, the siblings turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The characters soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
