In the video SCTV YELLOWBELLY The Biggest Coward In The West, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s part is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as fluff to both satisfy and make fun of non sensical Canadian content statutes, the brothers transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
