In the video SCTV – YOU! With Libby Wolfson (DIETING) – Minimal Effort, Maximum Results!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a skit which was streamed on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s part is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh at stupid Canadian content demands, the duo grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The two enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
