In the video SCTV – Youth, Do They Give a Damn or What?, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of strange Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was televised on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and laugh about non sensical Canadian content policies, the brothers became a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
