Damn. I was hoping it'd be Seventies Globetrotters with Granny.
Just think: WE are ONLY 9 years away from a world where basketball is played by Laimbeer's rules...
A ball SPINNING a ball INSIDE another ball=mind BLOWN.....
Do a toenament for cartoon theme songs!
George nailed this episode good job George. You should let him take the lead on Shaturdays more. XXX
Bravo George, Bravo!
Does anyone remember the Harlem wizards!? They were the knock off Globetrotters.
I watched the original 1970 cartoon, whose animation was on par with season 1 Scooby Doo. Well drawn.
Scatman Crothers voiced Meadowlark Lemon in the original series run. There was even an original soundtrack LP with songs from the show. Another of several Jeff Barry/Don Kirshner productions back then, using hired LA studio musicians. I still have my vinyl copy 50 years later.
You can hear that album on YouTube. Look for it. It's actually good R&B! 'Bouncing All Over The World' is an infectious toe-tapper. And the song 'Gravy' is still a solid favorite, with its Curtis Mayfield horn breakdown during the bridge. Seriously, it's pretty great.
