In the video Silence – Dave Thomas Junior (KARAOKE), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was included on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as filler to both follow guidelines and make fun of silly Canadian content policies, the brothers turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
