In the video Silly Rick Moranis…, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s character is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is created by actor Dave Thomas. It was made originally as a sketch to both please and mock network Canadian content rules, the duo grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
