Bob and Doug McKenzie in SiriusXM Speedway’s 12 Days of Nascar Christmas 2022

In the video SiriusXM Speedway’s 12 Days of Nascar Christmas 2022, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a skit which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it aired by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s character is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as fluff to both fulfill and laugh about annoying Canadian content legislation, the two transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The pair later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
