The bit was made originally as an idea to both please and mock non sensical Canadian content legislation, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

the black boy was the better boxer but the white boy had more power and was definitely heavier in bodyweight which meant if the white boy connected the black boy was going down. which just goes to show why there are different boxing divisions.
