production schedule so I think that’s
what’s going to happen and you all will
be be able to expect shows on certain

dropping the new episode of the new up

animated shows there for a number of
people including Netflix and other
networks there for one of his shows that
he’s created and another show that he is

ask some questions about what these
shows are once they get approved and

thing alright let’s get into the main
topic or one of the main topics for
today and that’s let’s start into I
think the Rick Moranis thing is a great
thing to start with don’t you I mean how
incredible is it that Rick is is in
talks to come back this is from deadline
he’s supposedly in talks to officially
return here a lot of people say that’s
already a done deal they just waiting to
fully fully announce it but it’s pretty
much a done deal he has been notably
retired for quite some time for those of
you maybe a little bit younger maybe you
don’t know as much about Rick Moranis
the man was in Ghostbusters and
Spaceballs Flintstones Parenthood
he even reprised the voice of dark
helmet from Spaceballs I think for a
Goldberg’s episode so that was as close
as we got to him coming back to being a
part of things you know he went oh you
retired to go take care of his children
be with his family things of that nature
and you know once you hit a certain
amount maybe he done enough you know
he’d been on SCTV for a long time did
strange brew with Dave Thomas so maybe
he’d hit that walras like hey I’ve done
what I can do
I want to go focus on my I have the
luxury and the money and the residuals
and maybe the investments maybe was
smart with his money to go and take care
of my family and relax for the last few
years but now this deal is coming down
with Disney Plus that he’s it’s not
going to sorry not Disney Plus Disney
it’s going to be a feature film Joe
Johnston is coming back who did the
original film and of course did Captain
America the First Avenger and I think
The Rocketeer as well he is coming back
and Josh GAD is playing Rick Moranis his
son who is his name is wayne szalinski
oh start no winds olinsky’s the name of
Rick Moran says character but josh is
playing his son and apparently he’s
trying to be a scientist as well and he
shrinks his own kids so I guess they’re
not walking away too much from the
premise maybe kind of making it a soft
reboot I guess in the guise of a sequel
so it’s kind of interesting there what
they’re planning to do
and this franchise made some money you
know it’s fun honey I blew up the kid
and honey we shrunk ourselves so it is a
bit of a trilogy it is a franchise and
what-have-you so you know he done some
it’s great to see Rick Moranis coming
back he did a special in 2018 there in
Canada with his fellow SCTV alums Joe
Flaherty Eugene Levy Catherine O’Hara
Andrea Martin Martin Short and Dave
Thomas so all of that pretty incredible
stuff going on there and there’s a
Netflix a documentary coming out from
Martin Scorsese called an afternoon with
SCTV so that whole get-together is going
to be on there as well so to me I’m
super excited I grew up with Rick
Moranis for quite some time big fan a
little Shop of Horrors as well blew my
Blue Heaven so many great roles he’s
played throughout the year so to see him
coming back for Honey I Shrunk the kids
or the next version of Honey I Shrunk
the Kids
it also it lends it a little bit of
authenticity and I think that’s what we
want if we’re gonna bring back this
franchise because I think they’ve made a
bunch of sequels that were like straight
to DVD and could start different people
or whatever so I don’t know I don’t
think we’re gonna get into a canon
situation this is more just a good thing
that Rick Moranis is being kind of
called out of retirement and of course
on the heels of course that we’d heard
that Little Shop of Horrors is
supposedly getting a remake and wouldn’t
that be interesting if you have Rick
Moranis maybe coming back to that maybe
he plays the owner of the flower shop or
a small part maybe he sings a cameo as
one of the dudes in downtown maybe he’s
one of the guys in downtown you know
singing that opening or Skid Row scar
Skid Row you know downtown song maybe
he’s one of the people come stepping out
doing a quick cameo singing one of the
lines from the song either way would be
great to have involved in some way
because that’s one of my favorite
musicals overall maybe he’s the DJ maybe
he’s the John Candy character who can
say rest in peace John Candy another
Canadian comedian like Rick Moranis so
what do you do you like this idea you

idea that he’s he’s coming back to do

Moranis to bring him out of retirement
who knows maybe he kind of hit that
place where he’s ready to come back
sometimes it’s just a matter of timing
and also maybe the kids are out of the
house maybe it’s just time for him to
you know they don’t you know nee doesn’t
need to be there all the time so yeah it
would be interesting to see the reasons
why maybe he’ll give a range a wide
ranging interview about why he’s coming
back and what he’s what he’s all about

enough for us to get excited about him

lot of you are and this is fantastic too
because one of the things that I like
about Rick Moranis is that he does a
number of things over and over again
throughout the years from different
genres right he isn’t he’s done the
Ghostbusters thing which is very
interesting franchise dozen Flintstones
was kind of goofy then my Blue Heaven
then he has Parenthood which is a little
more of a serious kind of a serious at
certain times exploration of
relationships at that time in the late
80s between husbands and wives things of
that nature and then you throw in Honey
I Shrunk the Kids but it’s a fun little
film you throw a little shop of horrors
to show his singing chops and acting
chops in a musical you throw on all
kinds of things to me this is a positive
overall so I’m excited for that all
right Rob C says this is cool news but
I’m not excited about Josh GAD playing
his son they don’t seem to like it all
at all but it is acting I guess we’ll
see what happens oh I don’t know I think
could seem alike both wearing the big
thick glasses both kind of nerdy you
know who knows well let’s see Ed O’Neill
mentions the Cleveland teens and little
Giants go tribe from j-dog Chris LEM she
says would have loved to have him back
in the new Ghostbusters this year and
Travis Gilbert says loved him and
Flintstones such a good movie but it
worked for me
all right well we’ll see what happens
I’m sure some more official
announcements have come down the road
I’m not so so familiar with the Honey I
Shrunk the Kids franchise but I think
it’s fantastic that he is going to be
come back to be a part of it I remember
seeing the first two movies and it
joined them for what they were certainly
kids movies fun young adult movies and
the parents can enjoy him as well so
we’ll see what part he plays other than
you know obviously being the patriarch
of the family on the entire family we’ll
see what it leads to will he get shrunk
well they have to band together will he
be like will you not want his son to
have anything to do with that connect
technology will it be a kind of a Young
Frankenstein situation where the family
member
resist wanting to do the things that his
dad did who knows cuz you would imagine
that if you got shrunk the last thing
you’d want to do is to go and mess with
that technology and then in the end
shrink your kids that wouldn’t be the
greatest thing as well so we’ll see yeah

chooses to move on but I’d be surprised
in Barcelona forced him to move on now

maybe the possibility of management down
the road who knows I mean we’ve seen
Sudan transfer into management be
successful on it only gonna so shower in

certainly I would give him way more of a

side I go say you want him to stay with

move on to the next topic here for this
morning’s with the outlaw and that is
this awesome new trailer from a 24
called the Green Knight with Dev Patel
as the lead here let me bring up all the
particulars of it I had it up just a
second ago but I wanted to give you guys
more of a history lesson on the Green
Knight first so alright let’s take a
look here what it’s from David Lowery
who did oh man and the gun which with
Robert Redford and [ __ ] speaks Spacek
that had come out from him he also did a
bunch of previous films is this the one
I was looking at no I’m sorry guys let
me see words at what did I have this
thing at sorry yeah like I said it’s
it’s directed by David Lauer it’s the
retelling of the 14th century tale of
Sir Gawain who was a knight of Arthur’s
round table who embarks on a mission to
behead the Green Knight it says though
the protagonist ultimately succeeds the
Green Knight survives and reminds Gawain
that the terms of the challenge will car
him to receive a return below one year
one day after the initial confrontation
Gawain spends the following year
anticipating the duel while attempting
to prove his loyalty and courage to his
family and the kingdom now 824 synopsis
is a little bit different it says an
epic fantasy adventure based on the
timeless Arthurian legend the Green
Knight tells the story of Sir Gawain
played by Dev Patel King Arthur’s
reckless and headstrong nephew who
embarks on a daring quest to confront
the epitomize Green Knight a gigantic
emerald skills skinned a stranger and
tester of men going contends with ghosts
giants thieves and schemers and what
becomes a deeper journey to define his
character and prove his worth in the
eyes of his family and Kingdom by facing
the ultimate Challenger from visionary
filmmaker David Lowery comes a fresh and
bold spin on a classic tale from the
knights of the round table so they
dropped the teaser this morning it’s
about an hour and I started a minute and
forty-three seconds or
and a half something like that I thought
it was fantastic certainly put a mood
down on this kind of film what they’re
going to do and what they what David
Lowery wants to do with this film he
also did that film ghost story which
made a lot of money on $100,000 but not
gonna did make like 50 million dollars
or anything like that but it made a good
chunk of money for all being only a
hundred thousand dollar budget this
feels like an epic story told in a small
scale and I like that combo it makes it
interesting you’re following this guy to
figure out who he is what he’s going to
do what his journey is going to be and
it’s exciting to see that plus I love
the idea that it’s deaf Battelle once
again this colorblind casting Dev Patel
is a fantastic actor we’ve seen him
Slumdog Millionaire you saw him in in
Lion he was so good in line he’s got
this David Copperfield a film coming out
a little bit later as well this year but
this one this is so great to see him
playing this character of the Green
Knight now in Excalibur John Boorman’s
Excalibur from 1981 the Green Knight is
played by Liam Neeson right he
challenges going to beers faithfulness
to Arthur and it’s he’s kind of tempted
by Morgan la Fey who was Arthur’s
half-sister according to the movie you
know she sleeps with him to produce
Mordred her son know the half-breed of
both of them but Morgan is the daughter
of the Queen that with her bent with her
Pendragon seduced so that he you know he
could have Arthur so these kinds of
things are there all around this the
tale now with Sir Gawain Morgan LaFave
plays into this too because in in this
original story the Green Knight comes to
the knights of the round comes to
Camelot essentially to he says he
doesn’t want to fight any of the Knights
because he knows he’s way better than
any of the Knights and that includes
pretty boy Lancelot and says that he
will allow anybody any Knight to have
one strike with an axe as long as he can
return the blow a year and a day later
so nobody wants to step up to do this
and Arthur is about to do it
when Gawain steps up and going says I’m
gonna do it I’m gonna take care of this
business headstrong as he is takes the
axe and with ultimate precision slices
off the head of the Green Knight the
Green Knight without flinching picks up
his head gets back on his horse and says
okay now you’re gonna have to meet me at
the green castle in a year in a day and
I will return the blow so the entire
year and the day I imagine is what this
film is all about is the things he the
Sir Gawain encounters as he’s heading
towards this eminent confrontation with
the Green Knight right his date with
destiny but what does he have to go
through what is this journey right then
it seems from the trailer this is a guy
who doesn’t have a lot of confidence in
himself doesn’t wanna have doesn’t have
a lot of strength then himself trying to
figure out who he is right even there
when he’s talking to Arthur and
Guinevere I imagine that’s gonna be R
and says you know I haven’t done
anything of note and she says yeah you
haven’t done anything about yet so the
whole film seems to be that it’s about
his journey to discover himself to
discover belief in himself and what he
can be and the tale is interesting
because the tale involves Morgan and a
girdle and all this stuff and some
deception I don’t know how much of that
is going to be in the movie because at
the end of the tale the original tale
the the story is about a reminder to be
honest because of what could have
happened because he wasn’t honest so I
wonder if they’ll attack that in this
thing there were two previous
adaptations of this story uh Gawain and
the Green Knight in 1973 that starred
Murray head and then there was 1984
sword of the valiant with Sean Connery
both of them were directed by the same
director Stephen weeks so this is very
interesting
Alicia vikander is in this we certainly
get a shot of her playing with the tarot
cards what does that mean the fire the
crown everything on fire pretty intense
things there in the puppet show with the
head being chopped off obviously
alluding to what happens to the Green
Knight and possibly what may happen to
go Wayne
Joel Edgerton is playing a lord Barry
Gilligan is playing a scat and the
scavenger Shawn Harris is playing King
Arthur I have become such a fan of Shawn
Harris
for his work in the James Bond series
and a couple of other projects as well I
always like the waste excess air that is
inside of his mouth and it feels very
important when they speaking whispers
tipsy is words and important and so it
always feels like someone’s stepping on
his throat while he’s talking I like
that part of it and Kate Dicky it’s
great to see her back course she was in
the which as well and Kate Dickey of
course was a Lysa Arryn in Game of
Thrones last time we saw her was falling
through or last time sake of Thrones was
falling through that moon roof and Ralph
Ineson is playing the Green Knight and
we do see him at the end the Green
Knight pretty awesome with like the you
know I don’t know what you would call
that whatever he looks like it’s like
concrete carved to look human and moving
around with a beard and things so it’s
an awesome shot at the end of that so I
love the sparseness of the look of this
trailer I love the I love the fact that
the dev patel is the lead in this I love
that it’s got this those beats and I
like David Lowery’s directions it looks
like just this kind of a smaller quieter
tale that’s gonna resonate with you as
you watch it until the confrontation
happens at the end all right let’s see
you guys what do you guys any super
chats and thoughts on this one let me
see some stream labs first Dave Lewis
says could this be on par with Excalibur
it definitely looks accurate enough to
the Arthurian legends the feel and the
look I love that you give Excalibur all
the credit it deserves oh yeah Excalibur
is the best Arthur movie made period
there’s nothing that comes close you can
take first Knight toss it in the water
you can take King Arthur and toss it in
the water you can take King Arthur
legend the sort of tossing deeper in the
water there’s no Robin and Marian
there’s just never been oh that’s a
Robin Hood story but there’s just never
been a good King Arthur story done other
than Excalibur I always find it
fascinating to me oh and Camelot 3000
that graphic novel is pretty great as
well but it’s always fascinating to me
that this incredible story of Britain
and England has never been done as well
as it was but John Boorman in 1981 that
is almost over four decades ago that
that film came out and you
tell me that we haven’t been able as a
human populace been able to create a
better version that is just so
incredibly shocking to me on so many
levels because it’s got a story that’s
just laden with lessons and mythology
and mysticism and all this jazz that I
liked even the Mists of Avalon as a kind
of an alternate version was okay
certainly the book was good but like the
overall story of Arthur and the green
I’m sorry Arthur and the round table and
all the Knights and all the intrigue and
the subterfuge and this idea of Camelot
I guess Spamalot did it I guess okay
sorry Monty Python the Holy Grail that a
fantastic job of it as a joke certainly
but there’s so much here that could be
explored for a really good emotional
effect sorry and dramatic effect as well
that I’d like to see with the Green
Knight so we’ll see how that plays out
if it happens right tabitha rodriguez
assented in a sense in one as well the
disney plus caching and or series will
begin filming soon i read are you
looking forward to this series how do
you think it will match up with the
mandalorian okay so sometimes you work
in this business you have friends you
have connections you’re people who you
know in certain Studios right
I don’t crow about my sources as much as
other people in this fear do but I do
have them and I tried to protect the
things they tell me you know I knew
about Brandon Roth coming back as
Superman long time ago before it
happened I knew about a couple other
things that were gonna show up in
Justice League Green Lane I knew all of
that months before because of
connections and friends or whatever and
they all swore me to secrecy I’m not

those kinds of things so but later of
course I can after it’s all been
announced and blah blah blah this I’ve
heard I’ve heard this is an honest truth
I heard that initially the cash that
they the cash in hand or series was a
mess script wise production was a lot of
stuff behind the scenes I was being told
it was a mess a mess a mess and that a
lot of cleanup had to be done before
they started shooting so and
seeing a production date or a shoot date
I think it’s an incredible positive
overall because it means that this is
going to start happening now so I’m all
down for it I’m a big fan of this
happening and putting going forward
Diego Luna really enjoy wrote one is my
what second favorite film of the new
section of new batch of films from Star
Wars so to see that story being told a
little bit more of course throughout the
movie there’s illusion as to what
Cashion had to do as a spy we first
introduced him he shoots someone in the
back after they give him the information
because he can’t be caught by these
stormtroopers or gate or have that guy
be captured and surrender any
information about him
so he certainly is a rootless guy
there’s that interaction with him and
Felicity Jones is character Chinna or so
where he says to her some of us have
been doing this since we were kids so
there is a story to be told that could
mirror the Mandalorians story this idea
of cash in hand or going back and like
flashback kind of thing seeing what led
to him being cashing in door what the
experiences were where his parents were
killed by the Empire who killed his
parents
what is his overall goal here to try to
do with his power with his connections
with the rebels all of that can be
explored and of course we can get a love
story we get all this kind of stuff that
doesn’t have to do with gender so
there’s a lot we can explore other
people he could have come in contact
with in the past things of that nature
maybe there’s more with the rebellion as
well you know we get a little more Mon
Mothma in this thing there’s all kinds
of possibilities that could occur with
this version of the cash in hand or
series I’m excited that they finally
started shooting I hope it turns out
great you know I think it’s ironic I
think these TV series are going to be
the things that ultimately save Star
Wars from becoming something people get
upset about over and over again you know
Mandalorian did a great job of bringing
people kind of back to the fold yeah
people were split on rise of Skywalker
for sure but in fact I know they delayed
the Kenobi series so they’re gonna
Whittle
no I had to let that big one outs that I
can just not stop stop yelling all right
and so they will see what happens with
that if if the Kenobi series comes back
and does great work and you know kind of
affects the fans it makes the fans
excited for boom
done and done sounds fantastic to me if
the cash in hand or series does it as
well then you’ve got this idea that they
are kind of keeping Star Wars in the
mindset of a lot of people because
they’re going along with what they want
to do so that’ll be fun to see down the
road if the cash in hand or series does
happen so thanks thanks so much for your

samurai films three outlaws samurais my
new favorite yes that’s available in The
Criterion Collection both blu-ray and
DVD go pick that up and watch it what’s
your take on that and sort of do much I
found to be pretty heavy and dark [ __ ] some of these would make some great Jedi
stories from future Star Wars film well
you’ve come to the right place lord
knows I stand for samurai films and
fight for them to get a little more
respect in the world and of course I got
a lot of [ __ ] for that tweet I put out
that I didn’t that I didn’t add one word
to that really kind of messed me up and
I couldn’t take it back by that point so
I just deleted it but yes there is three
alloy set three Alamo Samurai is
fantastic it’s not your typical come
together to fight against the powers of
evil samurai movie it’s a little more
kind of you know different places come
in and eventually when they come
together it’s pretty badass but you
spend enough time with each of the
outlaw samurai but you get invested in
their story so when they come together
to fight together you’re like this is
awesome and it ends like that and you’re
out so I love that about a lot of
samurai films and they usually end like
that and then they walk away off-camera
and it’s done the movie is done no extra
scenes nice stuff nice more know the
rate
sort of dude sort of Dumas fan tastic we
haven’t seen sort of do you’re missing
out on a really good film this idea of
power how a weapon can take the place of
power can make it feel like you have
more power than you actually do and so
you become so obsessed with it so
connected to that weapon that everything
you do leads to that being a symbol of
your manhood or your strength or your
abilities in the world until you
confront someone who is older than you
who’s been through that who understands
how you can wield that power and how
that power can control you sort of doom
surely explodes that explores that with
Tatsuya Tanaka died and Toshiro Mifune
an older to share him a phony going up
against santiana and naka died again
like they did in Yojimbo so that this is
a fun not to write this it’s not
directed by Kurosawa either this is a
whole separate samurai movie there you
know there are so many great themes and
stories in these samurai movies that are
explored they don’t have to be turn into
star wars films I don’t think I’d want
to see that me personally but I think
there are great stories to explore
within these samurai films people to
discover and maybe they can maybe they
can assimilate elements of those stories
into the overall star war stuff that
would be great to see but if you’re
essentially remaking samurai films into
Star Wars films I think you lose
something in the translation that
doesn’t a hundred percent work so to me
I’m a massive fan of these samurai films
and there’s so many to explore so many I
still read I still discover a house of
Zen is another one I just discovered
recently that came out a little
criterion and usually when criterion
puts out a samurai film even if I
haven’t seen it I’ll buy it because
something tells me that there’s so much
more to explore in the commentaries and
the documentaries about these samurai
films and about the samurai culture and
about the samurai movies and their
effect on directors who were who had
taken part of them so that to me is what
I would say about samurai films they’re
great sort of do them three outlaw
samurai Yojimbo Seven Samurai so many
great ones there’s the whole samurai
trilogy with Toshiro Mifune
that’s a fantastic one as well so
there’s so many great samurai films to
explore and enjoy if you want to let’s

fantastic I really enjoy Strictly
Ballroom there are elements of Moulin
Rouge that I enjoy but I like his I like
his a younger stuff or earlier stuff
myself personally joel edgerton really
liked the gift that was a fantastic film
I thought I think he’s got a great eye
and if you haven’t seen him in the King
on Netflix that Henry the fifth story
please see him as Falstaff he is
incredible and George Miller certainly
George Miller been a fan of Mad Max road
warrior people like babe I know
that I thought fury road was incredible
there are rumors that he’s making
another one would have liked to have
seen his Justice League Peter Weir is
another good Australian director I
really enjoyed his work as well over the
years what am I thinking of white squall
is that something he did Peter Weir I
think he did white squall let me see
yeah I did witness let’s see what do we
got did he do White’s baby
Picnic at Hanging Rock is incredible
Gallipoli was fantastic Gallipoli was
really well done year of living
dangerously dangerously which is great
Mel Gibson film that a lot of people
don’t talk about Linda hunt won the
Oscar for that witness the Mosquito
Coast is good him and River Phoenix the
lade River Phoenix Harrison Ford with
the red liver so that’s actually so two
back-to-back errors then Dead Poets
Society he did green card which is a
cute little romantic comedy with Gerard
Depardieu and Andie MacDowell fearless
which was really a damn good Jeff
Bridges film people have you haven’t
seen fearless you’ll see two of the best
performances from one from Jeff Bridges
and the other from Rosie Perez she’s
incredible in that movie a Truman Show
was fantastic ah Master and Commander
far side of the world that’s what he did
night what not white squall Master and
Commander that is a damn good movie you
know that’s a favorite of the top ten
show so that’s a fantastic film there
and he did the way back which do I know
the way back oh right yes this one right
right with Jim Sturgess and in Harris
yes I remember I remember that one way
back one let’s see you’re there another
Australian director is that I could talk
about that I wouldn’t know uh Philip
noise I feel like I know Philip noise
let me see here Philip noise as a
director maybe
where is he as a director okay I didn’t
like above suspicion didn’t like the
giver salt was all right so the quiet
American I thought was really nice
rabbit-proof fence yes with Kenneth
Branagh they have the saint oh I love
the Saint such a good funny guilty
pleasure or the st. with Val
kilmer clear and present danger patriot
games yes blind fury which I think is
the Rutger Hauer zato Ichi remake yeah
so yeah so Phillip noise has a couple of
films that I really enjoy as well I
think that’s Oh Kate shortland right
she’s kind of new to things really
enjoyed kate Shortland she’s gonna be
doing Black Widow I loved somersault
I thought somersault was a very
interesting film with Abbie Cornish that
way I found I saw that randomly way back
when in 2004 when I was DVD testing for
a job and that introduced me to Abbie
Cornish and introduced me to Kate
Shortland and that’s one of those quiet
little character explorations female
lead character explorations about a
young woman discovering who she is in
the world and you know sexually
emotionally personally career-wise all
of that is in somersault I really
enjoyed that film a lot lot so people
like lore as well they enjoyed that the
kind of the Nazi film their lore let’s
see and there’s one more that she did
yeah the Berlin Syndrome that was kind
of well-received as well with Teresa
Palmer in that role in there so yeah
those are kind of some good Australian
filmmakers Australian films but I always
come back to the Mad Max films those are
where those are my bread butter in my
head so I’m a massive fan of the stuff
that goes on there but Anthony thank you

so yes I watched the Jones Reyes fight
I thought Reyes won that fight I always
I haven’t been the biggest fan of John
Jones I think his drug stuff bothers me

it’s been in my system for a year all
that stuff I don’t care I don’t care if
it’s proved
I have to go with my gut my instincts I
don’t sense that that guy is a hundred
percent clean so when Reyes gave him
everything he can handle and in my
opinion beat him but I see that you
could’ve gone either way on it but I saw
Reyes beating him Raya was Reyes was the
aggressor race was countering almost
everything John Jones was trying to do
and he beat him and I think maybe John
Jones in his quiet moments at 3:00 a.m.
like Apollo Creed in that first rocky
movie he knows he got away with that
victory and he didn’t really beat him so
that’s my overall feeling about it I
hope they do a rematch as soon as
possible because that was a fantastic
match I’d love to see them go at it
again

forecast for for Sonic the Hedgehog it
is sitting right now according to box
office Pro box office mojo I can’t even

Sonic the Hedgehog right now is
projected at 43 to 48 million dollars
over the three-day weekend 50 to 60
million over the four-day weekend
because remember it’s a holiday weekend
this weekend so um this is kind of I
don’t know I’m kind of blown away by
this idea I’m even more Bolin away that
you know who owns the Presidents Day
Record Ghost Rider a Ghost Rider owns
the Presidents Day record I think it
made 52 million over those four days and
the fact that that’s yeah Ghost Rider 52
million over the four-day weekend
that’s insane oh I get oh I’m sorry no
never mind it’s number five of President
President Day weekends of all time is
Ghost Rider that’s still incredible in
the top five fifty two million dollars
so if it can do that then great and you
know the reviews are not bad the reviews
from what I’ve seen for most people the
reviews are pretty like it’s a fun safe
enjoyable film doesn’t take too many
chances and does what it needs to do and
it’s not a stupid and that’s kind of the
most important thing to sometimes these
films comes out come out and they try to
appeal to the lowest common denominator
that really kind of insults the rest of
the people that go see it and I think it
rarely leads to a good box office with
that kind of genre film so we’ll see I
mean that obviously it could be the it
could have it could have it could be a
smart decision to have pulled it back
out revamped the design and then
released it again overall and Jim Carrey
that’s great say Jim Carrey doing
interviews and man it’s one of those
junkets I didn’t know about didn’t kind
of hustle to try to get didn’t know what
was happening and so that’s on me I got
to work even harder as hard as I’m
working I got to work even harder to be
knocking on those doors because the
outlaw nation is building and building
and building I don’t have
massive logo that people go oh yeah
let’s get those people so I got to build
my name with the outlaw nation it’s got
to require some leg work some elbow
grease knocking on doors being rejected
some being accepted those kinds of
things so I feel terrible that I missed
out on the side of the head coach
Hedgehog junkets just on the off chance
I could have made a convince him to let
me do that with Jim Carrey that would
have been fun to interview at Jim Carrey

movies coming out downhill comes out
this weekend blah Mouse’s Fantasy Island
and the photograph come out this weekend
the photograph there was a screening of
it last night it couldn’t make it
unfortunately I was held up at that
event at UCLA so I couldn’t make it for
that but apparently a lot of people are
looking forward to this I’m hearing that
it could be kind of a surprise hit like
Harriet was coming in low-budget people
not expecting too much from it and then
really kind of catching on with fans so
we’ll see but sadly Hedgehog’s numbers
are pretty incredible if these numbers
hold up I think it signals the end of
birds of prey a lot of people are hoping
sorry a lot of people hoping birds of
prey would have legs and we keep going
keep doing its thing but I think with
Sonic the Hedgehog coming in here at 43
to 48 or 50 to 60 it’s gonna quash that
completely in my opinion I don’t think
it’s gonna have legs past this weekend
and if we see it like a 60 to 70 percent
drop and yes sixty percent is the
standard but when you see 60 percent in
relation to two underperforming it
doesn’t it doesn’t radiate a positivity
people over perform a drop sixty percent
that’s not a negative overall if you
underperform and then drop 60% that is
you know I saw something over on the
internet okay sometimes people just kind
of create narratives in their heads
without purposely removing perspective
it’s so frustrating right now some of
the birds of prey people the birds of
prey defenders and you don’t have to
defend the movie like like the movie is
underperforming and that’s all and it’s
just it’s just happening I don’t know
why people takes such personal offense
to a movie under performing like they
get so upset so they get mad that the
narrative of the media says that it’s
underperforming they’re just reporting
what the truth is the film is
underperforming but now I saw some some
mean some dude put up of like Ford
versus Ferrari on the opening week
and made as much as birds of prey why is
that not a flop but birds of prey as a
fly okay for five million reasons one
the production budget is different to
what they were expecting from a film
like that and that genre the
expectations are much lower it’s an
adult mature film about a car racing car
racing films don’t make a lot of money
they rushed it and make any money and
Russ is one of the best films I’ve seen
the last 20 years and Ron Howard an
incredible job directing that film but
they don’t make a lot of money so you
started to driven that terrible Rutger
Hauer film it’ll make a lot of money car
racing films don’t make a lot of money
you know Days of Thunder did a decent
job I don’t know Ricky Bobby did that
was more about Will Ferrell carrying
that thing out about the car racing
whereas this film and I know again it’s
it’s a Matt Damon it’s Christian Bale
but once again made me the last time
either one of those guys had like a 500
million dollar film it’s just not in
that thing even Jason Bourne the most
recent Bourne film didn’t do as well as
the other one so these guys aren’t
necessarily known for me this is birds
of prey this is DC this is Harley Quinn
she’s connected to the jogger connect to
the Batman Margot Robbie who’s
oscar-nominated so the Tim I just the
difference in perspective here has to be
talked about it doesn’t have to do with
male or female or any of that [ __ ] a
narrative they throw out sometimes it
really frustrates me it doesn’t mean
that that doesn’t apply for certain
things it does but for this situation it

so what’s where’s your narrative now
it’s just that it underperform that’s
all it’s okay it’s okay they don’t
perform it’s okay to say that it
underperforming he’s done it doesn’t
have to have a negative connotation that
like oh this is them going after women
again it’s nothing to do with that it
underperformed
guess what some male films and some
female homes are going to underperform
the job of a box-office analysts or
reporters or people who do stuff like we
do punditry they have to just tell you
what happened and then talk about it and
look at the reasons why that’s what you
want to do you know why we look at the
reasons why it isn’t to pile on and have
a good time jumping on their asses and
enjoy the failure of film no it’s
to be like okay let’s see what happened
here walk in the studios learned going
forward maybe they can hear something in
this that will help it down the road
make money with the next film so there’s
a possibility that analysis can be used
in a positive way to lead to better
films or better received films or better
decisions by the executives of the
people in charge of the studio about how
to market their movies or how to present
their movies that’s all it is
so people trying to turn this into an
ugly narrative yeah I’m not saying there
aren’t trolls out there trying to do
that [ __ ] like you know on one side of
it maybe there’s a go loco go broke
type [ __ ] yeah there are idiots like
that but overall I think this is just a
film that underperformed you you’re sad
and underperform because it’s actually a
damn good film and so you try to hope
that it’ll have some legs but sometimes
it doesn’t work out that way and you’re
just telling the truth of the element
you know so I just get mad when people
start to create these narratives that
don’t actually exist as a predominant
narrative they create those narratives
yes they’re it’s not saying that doesn’t
exist a smaller scale but it’s not the
overall narrative so it just frustrates

know I wanted to talk about saw the head

you’re spending your time doing actively
destroying another film so that your
film can been seen positively and then
crying that other people are supposedly
pillaging your film or pillar in your
film then there’s a hypocrisy here going
on in your actual existence of what
you’re doing so to me that makes no
sense at all absolutely none
that’s just my overall feeling about it
you know if you’re if you’re actively
trying to start another film then you’re
kind of going against what it is you
said you don’t want to have happen to
your film so you know just be positive
be be be do good things be positive and
I don’t think that’s kind of the way to

just happens so it’s an unfortunate
situation in that

maybe that’s me if she comes out and

sometimes maybe should he shouldn’t have

make a case for that but I don’t think

and actually legitimately being offended
