In the video Spike’s Trailer Park Live # 187, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as an idea to both fulfill and makes jokes about silly Canadian content policies, the brothers morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The pair enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
