Bob and Doug McKenzie in ‘Stairways to Heaven’ – SCTV Parody

In the video ‘Stairways to Heaven’ – SCTV Parody, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as fluff to both satisfy and mock annoying Canadian content rules, the siblings morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
