In the video stange brew synthesizers, hockey, and beer, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it got sold to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as an idea to both please and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the siblings became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The pair soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
