Bob is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously made originally as an idea to both satisfy and mock network Canadian content guidelines, the brothers turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
