Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew (1983) Movie Review
In the video Strange Brew (1983) Movie Review, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hilarious Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was included on second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by Dave Thomas. It was made originally as a joke to both please and make fun of dumb Canadian content guidelines, the characters became a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The two soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Last week I posted early and this week I almost forgot lol. Today I’m Spotlighting the 1983 comedy “Strange Brew”.

Beauty, eh
I love the beer bottles.
Wow! Never knew the title of this film, in fact forgot it existed till I saw the clips. Was released the year I was born but I remember my brothers who were a little older than me loved it and I believe had it recorded on a blank tape (that also had Howard the duck recorded on it, ha !) they watched that tape so much in my formative years that as a result my brain likely fused the two movies together and I was confused when I rewatched Howard the duck as an adult and there was no Rick Moranis, no scenes of moths in a movie theater, mice in a bottle and no plot of trying to take over the world by putting mind control substance in beer, lol. Now l have to rewatch this!
Good review eh
One of my favorites!!
