In the video Strange Brew (1983) score – 13 – Brewmeister in the Lab, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a program which was shown on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to CBC Television in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as filler to both satisfy and make fun of silly Canadian content legislation, the brothers became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and across the border. The pair became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
