In the video Strange Brew (1983) score – 14 – Plans for the Brewery, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s part is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously created originally as a joke to both satisfy and mock network Canadian content rules, the characters became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The brothers went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
