In the video Strange Brew (1983) score – 16 – “They Killed Him”, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was streamed on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh at non sensical Canadian content demands, the pair became a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The two soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
