Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew (1983) TV Spot

In the video Strange Brew (1983) TV Spot, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was created originally as filler to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about legal Canadian content rules, the two transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The brothers enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
