In the video Strange Brew 1983 : Van Jump scene…, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s character is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as a sketch to both satisfy and makes jokes about legal Canadian content legislation, the duo became a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
