In the video Strange Brew (1983), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s character is created by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as filler to both please and laugh about legal Canadian content demands, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
