Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew 2

In the video Strange Brew 2, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was streamed on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh about stupid Canadian content statutes, the characters became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The pair became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
