In the video Strange Brew by The Ultimate United Giver of Themes, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a improv which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s character is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and laugh at non sensical Canadian content policies, the two grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
