Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew – Clip from Ep 12

In the video Strange Brew – Clip from Ep 12, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was featured on CBC Television in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and mock dumb Canadian content statutes, the siblings transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
