In the video Strange Brew (Definitive Version) – Ian Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hysterical Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously born originally as a joke to both please and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the characters morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
