Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew Dive Rescue

In the video Strange Brew Dive Rescue, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is performed by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously made originally as filler to both satisfy and mock dumb Canadian content statutes, the brothers turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
