Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew – High School

In the video Strange Brew – High School, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hysterical Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s third season when it was featured on CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite created originally as fluff to both satisfy and makes jokes about legal Canadian content statutes, the brothers morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The pair went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
