Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew Nut

In the video Strange Brew Nut, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s third season when it was featured on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh at dumb Canadian content laws, the characters grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The two soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
