Bob and Doug McKenzie in strange brew

In the video strange brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a segment which was aired on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is performed by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the characters turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and the States. The pair soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
