Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew

In the video Strange Brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was streamed on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and make fun of legal Canadian content legislation, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The characters went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
