Bob and Doug McKenzie in Strange Brew you’re trickin me

In the video Strange Brew you’re trickin me, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s character is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as filler to both fulfill and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content demands, the brothers turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The pair soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
