In the video Streets of Fire ≣ 1984 ≣ Trailer, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of strange Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is performed by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh at annoying Canadian content guidelines, the duo morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
