Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about legal Canadian content demands, the characters became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
