Bob McKenzie is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. It was made originally as a sketch to both satisfy and mock dumb Canadian content guidelines, the duo transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
