Bob and Doug McKenzie in Suddenly Seymour – Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene

In the video Suddenly Seymour – Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was televised on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously made originally as filler to both satisfy and laugh about dumb Canadian content policies, the characters morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The brothers went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
