In the video Suspect arrested in attack on actor Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on second city television for the show’s third season when it streamed by CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s character is created by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as a joke to both fulfill and make fun of legal Canadian content policies, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
