In the video Taggart And Torrens Podcast: Episode 73, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was featured on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is created by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh about network Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The pair soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
