Bob and Doug McKenzie in Take Off (7″ Single Edit)

In the video Take Off (7″ Single Edit), Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of strange Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was streamed on second city television for the show’s third season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Although born originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and mock stupid Canadian content laws, the duo transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The brothers later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
