Bob and Doug McKenzie in Take off, Eh!

In the video Take off, Eh!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was featured on SCTV for the show’s third season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as filler to both please and laugh about non sensical Canadian content statutes, the pair grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
