Bob and Doug McKenzie in Take off eh!

In the video Take off eh!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a skit which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. It was created originally as fluff to both satisfy and laugh at stupid Canadian content demands, the siblings turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
