Bob and Doug McKenzie in Take Off (to the Great White North)

In the video Take Off (to the Great White North), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a segment which was shown on second city television for the show’s third season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as a joke to both please and mock silly Canadian content policies, the pair became a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The characters soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
