Bob and Doug McKenzie in Take off you Hoser!

In the video Take off you Hoser!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content policies, the pair turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
