In the video That’s not Darth, Rosey! #canada #strange #beer #shorts #movie #comedy#jedi, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was televised on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s character is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a skit to both please and make fun of silly Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
