Bob and Doug McKenzie in The 12 Days of Christmas: A Canadian Parody

In the video The 12 Days of Christmas: A Canadian Parody, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s character is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously made originally as an idea to both satisfy and laugh at stupid Canadian content guidelines, the brothers turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The pair soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
