In the video The 12 Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and laugh about dumb Canadian content policies, the siblings became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
