Bob and Doug McKenzie in The 12 Days of Schatzer Family Christmas: Day 1

In the video The 12 Days of Schatzer Family Christmas: Day 1, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of strange Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by Dave Thomas. Despite created originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh about silly Canadian content laws, the siblings turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
