Bob and Doug McKenzie in The 12 Days of Schatzer Family Christmas: Day 2

In the video The 12 Days of Schatzer Family Christmas: Day 2, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it aired by CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a sketch to both satisfy and laugh about non sensical Canadian content statutes, the characters transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The characters became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
